Diana – Numbers, creativity and digital marketing

Born in Hamburg, my long-time hometown, I completed a commercial apprenticeship at a shipping company and subsequently specialized in accounting. I've always had a knack for numbers, spreadsheets, and analytical processes, which is why I continued my education in this field until I became a specialist.

At the same time, I had a creative streak that I could explore in my free time as a photographer, a perfect combination of structure and design.

When Stefan and I founded Duoworks, we initially worked as virtual assistants and supported our first marketing clients. I quickly realized how fascinated I was with email marketing, as it combines my understanding of numbers with strategic communication.

Analyzing data, optimizing lists, and automating processes came particularly easily to me thanks to my years of experience in accounting.

At the same time, I realized that a brand is more than just good content; it needs a visual identity that exudes professionalism and personality.

So branding became my second focus. My sense of design and aesthetics helps me create brand identities that not only look beautiful but are also strategically thought out. Colors, fonts, logos, and imagery play a crucial role in how a company is perceived, and this is where I come in.

Since travel is a great passion of mine, a location-independent online business was the perfect solution. The opportunity to work creatively, analyze data, and simultaneously help companies build their brand and strengthen long-term customer relationships combines all of my strengths.

Today, I'm responsible for email marketing and branding at Duoworks, helping our clients present themselves professionally, increase their visibility, and achieve sustainable growth.

Stefan – From craftsmanship to digital brand strategy

Born in Germany and raised near Graz, my professional career began with an apprenticeship as a gas and water fitter. At 15, I had no idea that I would later work in marketing.

After completing my training, I served in the Austrian Armed Forces before moving to Germany. Initially, I attended a technical college before finally settling in Hamburg. There, I continued my professional development, progressing from a craftsman to a project manager for major water and fire damage restoration projects.

Throughout my professional career, I've primarily worked in companies that were still in the early stages of development. This not only familiarized me with the challenges of young companies, but also gave me direct involvement in the development of new locations. I quickly realized how crucial targeted marketing and a well-thought-out strategy are for acquiring customers and generating sustainable growth.

Especially in the trades sector, I find it easy to understand target groups, after all, I worked in the industry myself for years. During my time as a project manager, my average order volume was €1.5 million, which gave me valuable insights into customer needs and market strategies.

Despite my success, I felt something was missing: I wanted to be more independent and travel more. To achieve this, Diana and I founded Duoworks, originally as virtual assistants.

 

Even back then, we were working for clients in the marketing sector, particularly in the areas of web design and email marketing. Through these experiences, we realized that these were precisely our strengths and decided to focus our company specifically on them.

 

Today I help companies not only to have a professional website, but also to be truly visible through targeted search engine optimization.
